Welcome to VX Our wines are labelled "Vercingetorix" or "VX" for short. Vercingetorix's father brought his Celtic clan into Burgundy, the home of Pinot Noir, around 100 B.C. Vercingetorix became chieftain under the threat of Roman invasion. Vercingetorix united the clan against Caesar and the superior force of the Romans. Vercingetorix adopted a scorched earth policy sparing only the precious vineyards and his clan's most important settlement, Averticum. Vercingetorix is honored by the local Burgundians to this day for his efforts on behalf of the noble Pinot Noir grape.
