Welcome to VX Vineyard, home of award winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc wines, including our 2006 Estate Grown Pinot Noir which won a bronze award at the San Francisco International Wine Festival and more recently a gold award at the 2009 Oregon Wine & Seafood Festival. Visit our tasting room located just outside of Newberg Oregon along the scenic Willamette River.
Our wines are labelled "Vercingetorix" or "VX" for short. The name is derived from a Gallic hero named Vercingetorix, whose father brought his Celtic clan into Burgundy, the home of Pinot Noir, around 100 B.C. Vercingetorix became chieftain under the threat of Roman invasion. Vercingetorix united the clan against Caesar and the superior force of the Romans. Vercingetorix adopted a scorched earth policy sparing only the precious vineyards and his clan's most important settlement, Averticum. Vercingetorix is honored by the local Burgundians to this day for his efforts on behalf of the noble Pinot Noir grape.

Dear Customers and Friends of VX
Willamette Valley Pinot Noir growers were delighted with the 2008 harvest and that certainly includes VX (Vercingetorix). With harvest conditions perfect, a record crop and the promise of an exceptional vintage, we turn now to the wine making phase, with Jason Silva, who is already an award-winning artist, as our winemaker.
We are very proud of last year’s release of our 2006 Pinot Noir , which won a Bronze Medal in the 2008 San Francisco International Wine Festival from a field of 540 Pinot Noir entries. (This same wine has also won some very good recommendations in various Northwest wine publications.) Moreover, our 2006 Pinot Noir won a gold medal at the 2009 Oregon Wine & Seafood Festival.
You will enjoy all of our Pinot wines – Noir, Gris and Blanc, with appropriate food pairings. And, we will have available our outstanding selections of oils and vinegars, and plain and chocolate covered hazelnuts from Willamette Farms.
